Still having trouble deciding on a laptop.
I am looking to do some office application type work, surf the web, play DVD, and look at pictures from my digi cam. Perhaps a little bit of programming also, but limited because I still have a desktop.
Since I'll be using this to travel from home, work, and grad school I want something light, good battery life and something with built in Wifi. Looking to spend no more than $1200 total. (including tax and shipping)
I was previously looking at either the Dell 700m or the Sony S260. After having seen the $600 off coupon for Dell, I was going to buy it but decided to read some reviews on it. People basically said it was decent, but they had issues with the screen size (12.1") and the compact keyboard. Many people recommend I get the HP dv1000 instead. Because I have never seen a 700m in person I don't know if these things will annoy me.
What does everyone think? 700m or dv1000? Anything else I should look at? There wouldn't be a place where I could physically see a 700m in NYC would there?
