Smells like AT Effect...

I got my order in and a confirmation e-mail. Waiting for the shipped e-mail with tracking number now. Keeping my fingers crossed that it won't be cancelled.

I mean like where its really coming from. I'm sure crucial didn't have the code exclusively for dealmac.

I talking who was it provided to in that sense.

I just can't beleive that not more people are jumping on this
What makes you say that? Perhaps there are those who are too busy going to the Crucial website to post a reply. :p

Apparently, you have to get to the crucial site from a link on a "club" site. I called them and this is what is meant. You have to know where the deal is posted from Crucial and use that link and then the coupon. I have no idea where that is, but if anyone find out, please email me the info at dhelfand@nyc.rr.com

product you selected, 512MB 184-PIN DIMM 64x64 DDR PC2100 UNBUFF CL2.5, we do
not have sufficient inventory to fill your order at this time. Your
order is currently on hold, but should ship within 7 to 10 business days

From a post over on FW about the deal:

chattign with the live customer support... they said....

VANESSA>The coupon is only valid if used through the link in the email. The coupon is also a one time use coupon. There is a $8.00 coupon on the web page if you want to use it. But, you will not be able to use the $20.00 coupon

Crucial 512MB PC2100 for $54 shipped (updated) 2:29 pm
Crucial.com offers its 512MB PC2100 DDR DIMMs for $73.99 each. Apply coupon code "XXXXXXXXXX" to knock the net price to $53.99. With free shipping, it's the lowest total price we've seen on PC2100 memory of its size. Update: This coupon is not valid for the general public, as several readers found.

I removed the coupon code to abide to the forum rules. But if you read the statement, it was obviously not meant for anyone but club members. I checked the link when i hovered over it and they definitely changed it. I'll see if i can search through IE's history to dig up the previous link.

EDIT: Sorry guys, cant find it....

even if your order goes through, they may still refuse to accept your order. From their website:

Order acceptance policy: The order acknowledgement is not a contract and does not constitute an acceptance of your order, but only a record of your offer to purchase a particular item at a particular price.

After you place an order, Crucial Technology will determine whether or not to fill the order, and Crucial Technology may refuse or limit your order for any reason. By placing your order, you agree to accept all terms and conditions set forth anywhere on this site, including Crucial Technology's terms and conditions of sale.

Crucial Technology reserves the right to accept, refuse, or limit your order for any reason, including, but not limited to, credit review, the unavailability of a product or errors in the prices and product descriptions posted on this web site. By placing your order, you agree that Crucial Technology's total liability, under any legal theory or claim, shall be limited to the purchase price actually paid to Crucial for the product giving rise to Crucial's liability.

I bit as well. Worst case scenario, I don't get it :) They'd probably give another 5% coupon or something...

Can always use more RAM, and this is pretty darn cheap, although I'm sure in 2 months it will be $43 :)

Well, I ordered on 2 separate orders, one shipped, the other pending. With NForce2, one's no good without the other...oh well, maybe my second stick will be cheaper in a couple weeks anyway.
