There are times that there are complaints about too many sticky threads, not enough sticky threads, etc. How about a sticky thread forum where they could park? It would end up being like a AT FAQ on all topics. In each forum, a single sticky pointing to it, and if so motivated, it could have a url link list of the forum specific stickies (a maintanence annoyance though). Only the board administrator could create new threads in the sticky forum, but posts are allowed (not sure FuseTalk is that granular.)

Or not...

Stickies are/should be related for the specific forum.

To have a special sticky place will then require a viewer sorting through what is relevant with respect to the proper forum. At present the forum filter is already enabled by the user in what is considered relevant to their needs.

Also, if you do not have a specific forum enabled, you will get an error selecting the link.

Basically how many people do you think visit this forum .. not alot thats how much, and rarely aswell.. the same would apply to the forum you talk about, the stickes are relevant to their own particular forum and thats it

Yeah. I was thinking something like that too. Also, I think that making the background of the cells in the table of sticky threads different than that of the normal threads. or have some padding between the normal and sticking threads so there is a small gap, maybe 4 or 5 pixels between the last sticky and the top thread in the forums list.

well an announcements and news forum would not be bad?

although people would probably just bombarde the mods with threads asking for a sticky on an advertisement disguised as something else
