Hey all,
I have a rather expensive Pioneer head unit (DEH-P8500MP), which I bought about a year ago. This headunit comes with a motorized/detachable faceplate that has the frequently used buttons on it (next/previous track, etc.). Now after daily use, the buttons are starting to stick and it's getting quite annoying - the button is sticking and causing the songs to fast forward instead of switch to the next track and other annoyances.
Aside from purchasing a new faceplate from pioneer (which is pretty expensive!), is there any way I can somehow "clean out" the buttons or something? I'll have to take a look at the faceplate, maybe there's a way I can dismantle it and clean it out, but I would hopefully like to avoid that.
Thanks in advance!
BTW, here are a couple of pics for you guys - although the pics don't do my headunit any justice... the graphics are amazing in real life:
