That site also shows it to be 18% faster than the 4870X2 in HAWX, and 16% faster in 3DMark. Definitely more reasonable than trying to figure out those "official" benchmarks.

Looks like, but i'm going out on a limb and calling it shens.

Simple photoshop error. They placed two "ATI Radeon Premium Graphics" side by side on "slide" 28. They even overlap a little bit. It's not flush, and seeing AMD's history of impeccable marketing slides, it's fake.

If it came from ATI they would have used the same layout EVERY time. No reason to double it. As much as I'm excited for this release, these are bs.

No shens, the full official AMD slides and benches are already there for you to look at....

compared to 295, 285 and 5850...

What are you even saying? I'm talking about this slide.

Compare it to the rest. Believe it or not corporate environments keep their logo's and such extremely brand. It's even resized.

And speaking of marketing...

Acer, Dell, HP, MSI and Toshiba are creating computers using AMD?s latest graphics chips. In response, Nvidia said in a statement, ?The gaming world has moved to dynamic realism, which depicts actual physical movement more realistically than ever before. For example, the No. 1 PC game coming out next week is ?Batman: Arkham Assyum,? which takes advantage of graphics plus physics to give it extraordinary realism. Because we support GPU-accelerated physics, our $129 card that?s shipping today is faster than their new RV870 (code name for new AMD chips) that sells for $399.?

LOL! Is Rollo officially working for NvPR now? That certainly sounds like one of his gems.

That it is not fake. Can you understand that?

Simple errors like this DO NOT happen in the professional world. People lose their jobs over dumb mistakes like this even before they hit the presses. Every slide is based off of a template. This one differs from the rest due to the unmistakable difference shown.

In no way do I think these slides are horribly inaccurate, but they seem fake.

Let me get in on these ultra 2.5 teraflop GPUs for $129..

Yo scholzpdx, I'm really happy for you noticing that and all...

BUT THE BENCHES THEY'RE REAL. BEST BENCHES OF ALL TIME. ALL TIME.

Wow, the vanilla cooler looks badass.

I know the OEMs will ruin it by covering it up with stickers, but damn.

Looks hawt, & performance numbers (albeit marketing ones) look good.

There are good times on the forums and bad. This is about to be ATs forum Best time ever . NV for breakfest lunch and dinner. ATI guys its time its your time. TO glote!

It's "gloat". And it would be long overdue for ATI fans.

Thanks for properly siting spelling error.

Ya its not been that long Keys most of us consider the 4000 series as the beginning .

But this is a big step for ATI. Many will say I will wait fot the NV 300 . But me I want to see the 5900 ATI. And we will.

Ah, I see now, so they are "official AMD marketing benchmarks", not official 3rd party generated benchmarks of the kind that anyone outside of AMD marketing actually cares to see and read about then. Hooray?

Why are you putting ATI marketing with AMD marketing . Over the fast 3 years ATI/INTEL should have earned your trust . AMD has a ways to go on trusting marketing slides . ATI does not.

How old are you?

59 years young . You I take work for who. or is it that you don't believe ATI could make such a card . Or is it you don't want to see these kind of improvements . or are ya just a fanboy . Looking at ATI specs for these cards . Those slides look to be right on the money .

They're better than speculation, which is the major alternative right now, although these benchmarks are very interesting (especially the vantage score).

lol look at the scales. In most of them an nvidia ??? takes 1 bar. If the 5870 has 20% higher performance it's bar is twice as long, not 1.2 times. If it's got 80% higher performance it's bar is five times as long, not 1.8 times.

tbh it wasn't necessary - the 5870 seems fast enough that they could use accurate scaling and it would still look mighty impressive, but to twist the scales to suit what you are trying to show - that's an example of untrustworthy marketing.
