as i said before get a better monitor

smartass, some of us like 85Hz rather than the 60Hz most 17'CRTs run at 1280...

and we're not so well off/infatuated with the intarweb that we can afford/want to upgrade just because the first 10 or so threads on OT are stickies...

if your moniotor goes from 10x7 at 875 to 1290 at 60 then it really sucks

cause it should at least do 75 at 1280 gell it might even do it at 16

we have a 17in CRT that runs 1600x1200 @ 75Hz

Just about NO 17'CRTs run 1280 at higher than 60Hz...

And very few do 1600x1200 (far too small)...

Nec MultiSync FE791SB-BK

720 x 400 @ 70 to 160 Hz
640 x 480 @ 60 to 160 Hz
800 x 600 @ 50 to 146 Hz
832 x 624 @ 50 to 141 Hz
1024 x 768 @ 50 to 116 Hz
1152 x 870 @ 50 to 103 Hz
1280 x 1024 @ 50 to 89 Hz
1600 x 1200 @ 50 to 76 Hz

a better monitor

a better monitor

Why the hell would I want 1600x1200 on a 17" monitor? I might as well go stare at the sun. :disgust:

I have a bunch of Dell P780's (Trinitron 17"), and they can do 2048x1536 @ 75Hz

We need Squishy threads. Squishy threads are like Sticky threads, except that unlike Stickies they drop to the very bottom of the list and stay there until un-Squishied.
