Nitemare--LOL@Foreigner and the Bee Gees. Enough of your jive talking.

FYI I don't think it is insulting to Fleetwood Mac if you draw comparisons to the talent of Led Zep and the Beatles no matter which end of the <> you come out on.

Music used to be about the songs. Now it's about image. It is so hard to understand why people rail against that?

Found this kinda funny
Fleetwood Mac legend Stevie Nicks has lambasted pop superstar Madonna for kissing Britney Spears at the MTV VMA Awards - deeming she is too old to kiss youngsters. The singer was disgusted when she saw the 45-year old Hollywood hitmaker smooching with the 21-year old in the headline grabbing incident. She says, "Madonna is too old to be kissing someone who is 22 (sic)." And the veteran singer also slammed Spears and fellow Madonna-kisser Christina Aguilera for their raunchy images. When asked what advice she would give the pair, she says, "Wear more clothes and try writing some decent songs."

The laaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndslide....yadda yadda...fart fart

Yet another celebrity whose opinion I don't give a crap about

You mean you don't give a crap about Nicks who actually has a lot of talent compared to the two young slooots?

I mean, who cares what she thinks?? Does she actually think that people are going to rally behind her b/c she made those comments? Her saying that is just another publicity stunt to grab headlines...just like the three sluts.
You think? Did she hold a press conference to announce her opinions about them or was she just answering a question presented to her during an interview?

Regardless of where she made the comments, does it matter? Do you think I would give two sh!ts if Ringo Starr came out and said that "Max Weinberg is a horrible drummer who should quit that hack of a show called Late Night with Conan O'Brien?"

No matter who they are, their opinions mean little.

A Classic. Another old Fleetwood Mac Classic is "Black Magic Women" with the great Peter Green! They were damn good when Bob Welch was heading the group too!

I think you need to remove that stick from your ass.. Of course I'd listen to the opinion of one of the most famous drummers of all time (ringo).. Wouldn't you think twice about your doctor if a famous doctor came out and made comments against him? Stevie N. is a legendary singer- while I don't consider her a god her opinion is interesting and holds some truth.. These guys are more interested in image than writing good songs- was she such a terrible person for saying that? I've believed that for years but obviously, Stevie N's opinion matters more because she's in the field..

She's not ugly by a long shot.

You realize the audience you are talking to right? A bunch of virginal pubsecent boys who would claim to kick gorgeous supermodels from their beds but will end up losing that virginity to a drunk fat chick at a party in a closet.

So did her breath smell like bacon and Bon-Bons?

Hey it means at least as much if not more than yours as she at least is in the business and knows a thing or two about Music, Hits and Longevity in the biz.

LOL. I'm glad you believe everything you hear :)

I'm not saying that what Stevie Nicks said was wrong, but in the end it really means little. I don't think that anyone's opinion of Britney or Christina or Madonna will change b/c of what she said. Everyone knows that they are hacks

That's fine.. The topic of my thread was not "Coffee Talk...Celebrity endorsements/opinions: valid or useless utterances of desperation.. Discuss".. Honestly, who cares what you think? I was just posting something that I find funny.. I just got annoyed by your pointless reply.. I mean, really, what really was the point of your "celebs suck!" message..

Heh. Bob Welch. I distinctly remember fondling some of my first boobies to the strains of Ebony Eyes emanating from my 8-track in the '67 Buick Special.

I love Stevie Nicks voice...very haunting.

The "kiss" never really bothered me, I never would have seen it, if it had'nt been dragged all over the news! Why that was news I'm not sure anyway!

I used to enjoy Madonna's songs but her chosen genre of late, just does'nt do it for me anymore. I never have enjoyed Brit or Christine's style of music.

The music industry obviously has changed, whether it's for the good or bad is purely personal opinion. I liked music videos back in the 80's when they told a story about the song. Although some videos seem to do that now, it appears to be more about less is more and how you can shake it!

That's appealing obviously as they are successful, I just choose to not watch Much Music(Canada) or Mtv or whatever. I also choose not to buy music I don't like.

Okay I'm feeling a little vaclempt......discuss....;)

Yuk

Foreigner > Fleetwood Mac
Led Zeppelin > Fleetwood Mac
Bee Gees > Fleetwood Mac
Beatles > Fleetwood Mac
Earth, wind & Fire > Fleetwood Mac

Hmm are you familiar with Fleetwood Mac pre Stevie Nicks? They were putting out hits since the 60's. Now I can understand that you may not like their style but their success speaks volumes. Of course the Bands you mentioned are also legendary

How are you defining Success?? according to a LOT of people Madonna has been pretty successful, especially if you use Dollars sold as a gage of success.

Were you born stupid? Zep I can agree with but Foreigner, Bee Gees and Earth Wind and Fire better than Fleetwood Mac?
I must question your sanity with those comments. Fleetwood Mac is a legendary band with good musicianship, song writing,
and vocals. Other than Zep, those bands aren't even worthy of carring Lindsey Buckingham's jock strap. Go listen to
"Big Love" (a good song regardless) off "The Dance" and keep in mind that Buckingham is playing lead, rhythm, and singing.
