Steven Segal vs. Jean Claude Van Damme vs. Chuck Norris

Isn't Van Damme in the same category as Jet-Li, as far as 'training' goes? They are both good "technically", but never really 'fought'?

Isn't Jet Li very accomplished in Wushu? I thought him and Van Damme were more about the 'show' than the actual beatings.

Keep in mind that these are no-contact or light-contact bouts that he has won 65 times. It goes without saying that this is totally different than a real fight. I have no doubt that he has outstanding striking capabilities, even world class, but you see how long the world class strikers last in UFC if they don't have grappling ability. He would have his ass handed to him.

I'm posting more than anyone else in this thread - maybe I'm just biased since reading that Norris is a Fallwellian nut-job douchebag.

I have heard a story about a professional kick boxer on a set of a steven seagal movie went a round in a ring with him. Put Steve in some kind of hold and he actually cried lol.

Chuck Norris kicks the most ass because he is a real fighter. Sean Claude was a parody and I think Seagal may have some karate background but nothing professional afaik.

Along with black belts in 3 or 4 other disciplines. Here is a demo video of his doing BJJ, and even though it clearly is done very deliberately and slowly, it does show that he has some BJJ skills......

From what I understand a lot of the tales about Steven Seagal are way overexaggerated, overblown, fabrication, or outright lies. Whereas there wasn't much doubt that Chuck Norris was/is a real martial arts expert. Van Damme never claimed to be one but merely an action movie star.

I liked Van Dammes movies the most. Norris can kick the most ass though. To be fair to Van Damme...I don't think he ever claimed to be a martial arts master like the other two guys.
