Whatever happened to Steve Spielberg?

Seems like he stopped trying after War of the Worlds, which I thought was great popcorn sci fi horror

I know he still makes movies but they arent razzlin and dazzlin anymore did the game pass him by?

For the record I think Steve Spielberg is still a way better director than the JJ Abrams and Rian Johnsons of the world
 
Im trying to think of the last thing i watched that he was involved with.Off the top of my head Lincoln maybe.Ah Bridge of Spies,forgot about that film.

That's all producer roles. He really doesn't have to do anything at all to be a producer. It's an easy way for Hollywood to cash in on a name by attaching it to a movie.
