yup. he does, he seems to be the team though and without him they suck, thats what makes the MVP worthwile for him. Lebron deserves it too. Not only did he turn the team around, he has made everyone around him better. he knows how to be the leader of a team already, and he doesnt have to be on the court to have an effect on the team.

Ya, the Suns just completely fizzle out when he isn't playing. But part of that is just due to the way the Suns play. It's changed a bit with the introduction of Jim Jackson, but they have basically the lowest bench scoring in the league.

There aren't many other teams in the league that just completely crash and burn when they loose a starter like the Suns do.

There are other players though that it's hard to say don't make an impact though - KG still leads the league in boards, and is a top contender in points, blocks and makes a huge number of assists...if you take him out the T'wolves would crash and burn.

Without Kirlenko the Jazz rolled over and died. The guy *could* be a quadruple double threat every night when he gets healthy and can't be ignored.

Lebron is also often ignored - his stats are godlike and his team is mediocre at best without him.

If the Suns lost Stoudemire or Marion for a week they'd be hurting. IMHO Marion is one of the best "X Factor" players in the league. He can hurt you in so many ways that you can't ignore him at any moment.

He is a white point guard for the Suns. Hes got crazy quickness and pushes the ball in a uptempo style. He attracts defenders like flys to dung because he is always a threat to take it straight to the hoop. That is why he is so effective at making his teammates better.

Suns will NOT go all the way this year. maybe western confer. finals against the spurs. but they will stop there. Suns offense is amazing, but their def. is horrendous.

He did the same in Dallas. The problem is, hes prone to late season injuries.

I've said it since the beginning - the Suns are one injury away from a horrible season. Jackson has helped a bit, but they have NO bench help. These guys are going to be exhausted and flat come the playoffs. Loosing Nash for 6 games is proof of this.

Consideration YES

Leader NO

i doubt he will win it, but anyone who thinks he shouldn't at least be considered just isn't watching NBA in 2004/2005 ;)

Yes, I think he deserves consideration, ie lots of second place votes. I agree with Anthony's argument that someone who's such a liability on one end of the court, like nash is on defense, should not get league mvp.

Lebron gets my vote at this point.
