Steve Miller Band is awesome, one of the few bands where I can just put their CD on repeat forever.

Yes, after growing increasingly sick and tired of the same hackneyed crap on the radio these days I have gravitated more and more to "classic rock" and oldies. I have rediscovered how damn good those old bands were like Steve Miller Band and Creedence Clearwater Revival. They have staying power for a reason.

SMB, Journey, Stixx, Jerry Lee Louis and a bunch more are going to be playing in Memphis at the beginning of May. I would love to see that concert!! I am less than four hours away but the timing isn't right for me.

Wow, that would be a GREAT concert!!

Wait a year and you could probably see Journey,SMB and Styx on the County Fair Circuit for free

I liked the Band when when they first came out and were a little edgier (Space Cowboy and Living in the USA) Afterwards they were too mainstream and popish for my liking.

That was how I felt about them back then as well. Of course now when I hear them it brings back a flood of memories and I tend to like them because of that I guess.
Another one of my Favorite back them was the "James Gang" Joe Walsh's first band before he went solo and then joined the Easy Listening Rock Group "The Eagles"

My dad sang with and was friends with Joe Walsh pre-James Gang. They went to Kent State together. Too bad he didn't stick with him.

I was lucky enough to be in a club one night in Memphis when Jerry Lee Lewis came in with a group of people for some drinks after a recording session. He got up and did an impromptu half hour or so of music.

Call me a young un, but I just found the band. WOW... Nice! :D
Welcome to my world..... the one with real musicians playing real musical instruments. Playing songs they wrote.
It's a refreshing change from the rest of the "Musik Industry"

BTW, I am on tap for working this band this summer.

Holy sh|t, what do you do!? Dude I would give my left nut to work bands in the summer. :D :D :D

I'm a Guitar Technician, Stage Hand, audio guy. Been in the business for 27+ years. My friend who manages Y&T is managing Steve Miller again.
<used to work for Journey until 2002.
