It was interpreted as an attack against McNair, not Slamma. Rebutting a insult is one thing, insulting and screwing with someone that recently died, someone by all accounts seems like a good guy, is on a completely different level.

The intend message might have gotten garbled, Newbian might not have been trying to insult macnair but that's how it ended up.
 
They are now reporting that her niece says that Steve was supposed to be filing for divorce and they put up their $3 million dollar home in Nashville up for sale. They are saying the couple had been dating for several months. So it may not be his mistress, he may have been separated from his wife and waiting divorce proceedings.

If the information is accurate, it would mean that the one guy apparently posted "rip sahel kazemi" on Myspace before she was actually dead. However, I wonder if the "last login" date indicates when he last logged in via the web interface; perhaps he posted with a cell phone, and that didn't update his "last login" date.

I'm sure they can just contact myspace to get that information. It does look pretty damning though. I'm sure they're going to sift through everything and make sure before this case is closed.

Love ad hominem attacks and obvious emotional involvement by moderators who are supposed to be impartial and judicious. Someone remove this person's mod priveledges; it has no business doing it.

esquared acted as a moderator because TridenT's post was tasteless considering that it was about the death of well known, well liked human being. Other moderators were posting in the thread and did not take any actions as moderators. esquared was not posting in the thread, and he acted well within his role as a moderator.

If you don't like the call, you can post your views in Personal Forum Issues, or you can PM or e-mail Derek. You have no business calling him out as a moderator in the thread.
