Steve Case to step down from AOL in May

one of the worst mergers ever

Id actually say its the worst. The AOL part is worthless, and in reality, Time Warner and AOL need to be split. I dont know how you can save AOL, I dont think you can. If this merger never happened AOL would have been bankrupt at this point.

About time this happened, I cannot stand Steve Case. And the merger was useless the second they decided to sell the cable division. Time-Warner already had everything AOL could have offered it.

So much for the captain going down with his ship....

AOL is the worst piece of asshit I have ever used.

Oh yeah, and the best part is that the CD prominently displays "No credit card required!" and in the small print at the back "so-and-so valid CC is required to register."

Fvck you AOL!

If/when AOL goes under, where are those 30 million mindless cretins going to go? They might get a real ISP and start invading, OH MY GOD NO!!!!!, AT!:disgust:

Yeah they'll first have to figure out how to use IE which could take them a while and probably will send many of them running to Web TV.

Probably true. I have tried to teach many AOL users that they can minimize their AOL window after logging on and launch IE for a real Internet experience. They just look at me like I came from Mars. But, but, but this is AOL! It has EVERYTHING!

You assume they have the know-how to locate another ISP. I'm sure MSN will take them in, just keep them off my ISP.

The guys on kudlow and kramer on CNBC have been calling for his noose for a year now...especially that Jim Kramer...he defaces him so much you'd think he'd get sued.
