moonbeam, you really shouldn't ever use the B-word. It is a totally alien concept to you. Stick to emotions like bigotry.

Huh? What "B-word"? I have never seen MB exhibit any bigotry whatsoever. What are you alluding to?
I have no idea what he's on about either. I was just reflecting back to Galt one of his posts and embellishing it with some deep analysis to sort of indicate how some of his post look reflected back. :D I guess Alsurmise got caught up as collateral damage. ;)

What a ridiculous assessment by this Stern guy. So he predicted this years events, what were his predictions for the previous year and the previous year, etc. The Bush admin has been making the same prediction for 3 years now and only now has it occurred.

The tax cuts were designed to make BushGod look good in for the reelection campaign in 2004 so he could wave the flag and tell people to forget about the deficit. Naturally things did not work out that way. What little effect the tax cut had on the economy, the latest cut was designed to impact the economy during the spring/summer 2004, will of course wear off in 2005. Stern is perfectly well aware of this so he uses that fact to preemptively paint Kerry in a bad light.

'Kerry elected - business booms'

'Bush reelected - business=death'

If Kerry wins, the situation in Europe could get very serious with unemployment in Germany and France likely to rise to 12 to 15 per cent ? which could have serious political and social ramifications.
France is already at 12% AFAIK. Such is what happens when you socialize everything. People get lazy and can't be bothered to find work, because they don't really need it.

Of course, because Bush likes lining the pockets of big business.

Everybody is talking about the effects that Kerry or Bush will have on the future of the U.S. in all aspects of its economy, wealth, and prosperity. However, what will happen if the Green Party were to come into office??

Please discuss.

Complete bullsh!t.

The only certainty for the US economy right now is that interest rates are slowly but steadily going up, and that such increases will act as brakes on the economy. With his irresponsible fiscal spending and "borrow-and-spend" super-huge government philosophy, it is more likely that rates will rise faster under GW than Kerry (assuming that his fiscal policies are similar to Clinton's more fiscally responsible policies, though I'm sure the military will cry buckets again  ).

Economic collapse.

edit: or revolution, which I think would be more likely.

Anyway, remember that most people have FAR more invested into their homes than they do their 401(k)'s...
