Honestly, the only cockroach I've ever seen was a Madagascan Giant Hissing Cockroach. I think cockroaches are more common in some areas of the country than others.

I don't think I've seen one either (Oregon). While they may be around infestations are virtually unheard of. Certainly nowhere that I've ever lived or visited.
