Cream of the crop.. Thomas Steeringwheel.. it comes at a high price though.
If you only occasionally play driving sims, then I would go with a Logitech.

I've had the MS/sidewinder FFB usb for a while now and really like the F1 paddle shifters alot.

Thomas Enterprises steering wheels are awesome and built to last a lifetime! I have four boys and I needed something for the long haul and I like having the best.

HEREs another good wheel roundup.

Thomas steering wheels certainly are in class by themselves, but prices may be beyond your budget.

If Thomas is out of your price rance, then I would suggest the Act Labs Force RS or Logitech Momo Force.

If the wheel youre "looking at" is the Thrusmaster Nascar Pro Force, then i would not suggest it.

Bought one cuz I loved all my other Thrustmasters, gave it to my bro after 2 days & bought a Momo wheel.
Never regretted the decision, the TM wheel just didnt let me "feel" what my car was doing on the track like my Momo does.
There IS a difference!

I can tell you if you do get a TM Nascar pro FF wheel, HP2 doesnt "officially" support it & will tell you EVERY time you start the game, but the wheel works just fine in the game. (you can solve this by making a custom controller.ini file for the wheel in HP2)

Be advised though, that NFSHP2 only supports "generic" FF effects, like rumbling on different surfaces & collisions with objects.

You wont "feel" body roll & "road grip" like you can in other games like NFSPU & Nascar Racing 2002(papyrus), GPL etc...

I love my Thomas TSW2 Modified. It rules. I'm not that great with it, but that isn't its fault :) It reproduces all of my mistakes perfectly.

When I first picked up my TSW2, I knew I got my moneys worth.

I am a lot better with it than I am with the Logitech and Microsoft steering wheels I've tried. I personally hate force feedback anything. Act Labs are decent, and if I needed to spend less money, that what I would have gone with. Don't both with their shifter though, it feels like a cheap toy and doesn't work very well.

Any idea where to buy a Thomas Mamo in the UK? I haven't been playing on my PC for a long time and just want to get back into it. My fiancee has her Playstation 2 and I've got my PC :)

Stuff I want to play at the mo are NFS - HP2, GP 4.

Which one of the need for speed range do you reckon is the best? Did someone mention Porsche challenge?

Anyone know where I can get details about Thomas steering wheels? And where to buy them in the UK?

Otherwise I'll get the logitech. It's just that if you say the Thomas steering wheels are fantastic then I want to check them out.

I think its www.tsw.com. Just be prepared to spend a couple hundred bucks on one. I have owned my share of steering wheels. The best one I've used yet is the Microsoft Precision Pro.

The momo is good but the pedals suck real bad. I have had many wheels. The TSW is a great wheel but it does not support force feedback. If you do not want force feedback the TSW is it. I have a momo wheel now and I think i am going to order some tsw, brd or redline pedals to go with it. BTW need for speed if a decent arcade game. If you want realism get Grand Prix Legends. PM me for info.

Yep... GPL is still kicking ass...

I have the MOMO... not bad... but the new MOMO sucks ass... the TSWs are a wee bit too much for me... :)

Had a look at the Thomas wheels and I think I'll pass, bit expensive for me. So Logitech or any other recommendations.
