Hello;
I have a 99 Chevy Malibu w/approx 70k miles, for which I must replace the steering pump. I'd like to do this myself, but don't have a diagram. I replaced the water pump about 6 mos. ago & hope is just as easy to replace the steering pump. Any advice/pics would be helpful? Thnx much.:\

Get a Haynes or Chilton manual. It will show you exactly what you need to do.

This, it's a great way to determine if a job is within your ability. If you've changed a water pump I'd guess that you could change out the power steering pump as well but again, spend the $10 for a manual and know for sure if it's something you want to tackle..

Also, if you plan on keeping the car for a while and doing any work yourself you'll end up using it for tons of different jobs.
