I bought this mouse :

for the first week worked great, but now it not longer tracks properly on this cloth mouse pad.

I am really confused? If it had an issue with cloth pads why work in first week? Also why would it not work with this pad when made both by same company?

I already opened a ticket with steelseries, but have not heard back, If I use it on my wooden desk, or old cheap plastic mousepad, it works fine. So mouse should be fine right?
 
what is the best way to clean a laser mouse lens?

I never had a laser mouse and want to make sure I don't damage it
 
this sounds very suspicious. i would RMA the mouse **through amazon, if necessary**

steelseries do not have issues tracking on the QCK pad, i know this since its one of the most popular combos in quakelive.
 
yeah steelseries got back to me and gave me cookie type of respone and setup RMA,

i think i would rather go through amazon, be way faster and don't have to pay for shipping.

Please god don't. My experience with their RMA was absolutely terrible. Took over a month AFTER they received the defected mouse I sent in before they sent a replacement. I kept on them for weeks to get something done. I guess I'm not sure how RMA through Amazon works though.
