it failed to open. i loaded the program repeatedly and it constantly failed on me.

am i the only one? 🙁
 
I think most steam problems are user error problems... I've never had a single problem with steam. User errors include other programs that people install and or settings that could prevent steam from functioning properly.

But, I'd try a reboot/restart to see if it works.
 
Plus it takes a while for Steam to load. Then you have to load the game(s).
My suggestion is a reinstall.
 
Steam works great for me.. but I get the crappiest pings when I search for servers.. Then I connect, and they drop to under 75. I dont understand it.
 
Try exiting Steam completely, then deleting your Steam\clientregistry.blob file. Then start Steam again. It seems to solve a lot of weird Steam errors.
