It's like Steam couldn't make up their mind and just throw us three deals this weekend woo.

Tropico 3 $13.60
X-Com: Complete Pack (inclues 5 X-Com games) $2
Freedom Force Pack (Includes both FF games) $2

$2 for BOTH FF games, WOOO! I know neither has wisescreen support, and even hacked don't quite look right (from what I heard) but I have to jump on this deal. Never played the 2nd, but the 1st was pure awesome sauce. SHIT looks like I gotta boot out of my Hackintosh so I can get to a gaming OS.

I'd been eying up Tropico for awhile. Freedom Force was pretty sweet back in the day.

If you don't have Tropico 3 already, great time to get it. I thought it was good. My main problem with it is that gameplay wise it's almost identical to the original, just with new graphics. I liked the original, so that's ok, but I would have liked to see a few more new ideas.

ARGH! Can't use my American Express Gift Card on Steam. Googling this seems to be common, DAMIT I have no CC.

No soup for me :(

Freedom Force is awesome. I bought it the day it was released on Steam for $7. Very, very similar to the Xmen Legends games, and just as much fun.

Never heard of Freedom Force but for $2 I will try it out. I have wanted to play X-Com for some time, so this will be a god reason for me to try it out.

It's just Tropico 3 by itself. If you like city-builders then Tropico 3 is probably a good value at $13. It took me 35 hours to complete all of the island challenges, and I can see myself occasionally firing this up for games in the future. I don't enjoy it as much as either Civ 4, E:TW, or Anno 1404 however.

X-Com and FF are both no-brainers to add to your steam library if you never played them and are amenable to playing classic games with terrible resolutions.

Are you sure? I mean have you tried -- because I was able to use my AMEX Gift card during the holidays.

I didn't think it would work, but I selected Credit Card, put in my name, address, telephone and such (all of which is not attached to the card in any way) -- plus any numbers that I could for the card itself.

Everything went through and checking the balance of the card, it worked!

I'm sure, I tried, I googled this and it seems very hit and miss. I even called the 866 # on the back and registered it to my name & address. Still no dice on Steam though. I could go buy a pre-paid Visa at the market up the street. But the $4.95 fee would put the game back at normal price lol.

Ok, that's it. Steam is officially bleeding me dry. I'm now limiting myself to one new game a bi-monthly max. I'm spending way too much on entertainment purchases.

X-com is chock full of win.

Gets my recommendation as near top of my all time favorite games.

I picked up Tropico 3. I've never played any of the series. Watched some youtube gameplay and it looked amusingly fun so I bit. $13 sounds like a fair price. I keep hoping they'll offer Left4Dead real cheap so I can try it. Hopefully soon. :)

Try paying with PP and have PP use the card.

Good idea, but all I'm seeing on my PayPal account is xfering money from a bank, or from a GreenDot Prepaid Visa. They must have changed the policy. Been forever since I used Paypal :(
