Why do people have so much difficulty with apostrophes? They're about the most simple thing in English to understand, but people just can't help themselves. I find it especially amusing when people insert them where they're unwelcome, because that person makes a conscious decision to put the apostrophe there. What was going through your mind when you put the apostrophe at the end of "Heroe's"? I mean, I can understand people who miss out the apostrophe on "don't" or "sisters'" or similar - they're just too dumb to understand the apostrophe. But why insert unnecessary apostrophes?

C'ool, than'ks for th' h'e'ads up', OP'![]()
A fantastic deal it is, unfortunately I got the retail version of vanilla CoH and never found the time to buy Opposing Fronts nor Tales of Valor in a store, if only Steam games would work with retail ones I would buy both expansions at that price in a heartbeat, but I don't wait to "re-buy" vanilla CoH since I already bought it.
CoH will work because the expansions are stand alone. So you can buy just the two that you don't have. Actually, a lot of true expansions can also be bought on steam even if you have the original game as the retail copy.
Are you sure? Because I tried to buy Kane's Wrath (C&C 3's expansion pack) on Steam while I had the retail version of vanilla C&C 3, and when I got to the checkout procedure Steam told me that I couldn't buy it since I didn't own the Steam version of C&C 3, and that Kane's Wrath required it to be able to play it. Then I eventually got tired of the situation and bought a Kane's Wrath CD-Key at DirectGameKeys.com and registered it to EA and downloaded KW from EA instead. Then to my surprise I installed KW without having C&C 3 installed (which I wasn't aware of, since I was certain that it was installed, but somehow forgot about it) and I ended up launching KW without a problem, so it doesn't require vanilla C&C 3 to run.
Anyway... now that I think of it when I launch vanilla CoH I do see two locked campaigns in the main menu, and within my account's information I can enter two extra CD-Keys in there, one for OP and one for ToV... so if I buy them both on Steam then maybe their respective CD-Keys will do the work just fine on the retail version. The thing is that "vanilla" CoH is not vanilla CoH anyway, because all patches applied at the end accounts for an extra 3GB or 4GB of data and those "patches" in fact install both expansion packs at the same time, the only difference being that they are locked, but they had to be installed since my vanilla CoH's units stats and balance and whatnot engine updates they made had to be up-to-date with both expansions especially for on-line play.
So... well... yeah maybe I'll try that.
He is right I have vanilla and opposing fronts on disk and valor on steam.
COH works with relic online. To get into or onto the game for the most part you have to log into the relic server. Since you log onto the relic server with your name and password it knows you have access to all the content.
If you bought vanilla when it first came out and then it had that like 2 gb update about a year later that was opposing front. So you technically do have it because of the 2 gb patch though it has to be activated by buying the game and logged onto relic online. I could be wrong though.....
I think if i remember correctly I used steam valor deleted my original COH and OF started up valor. Logged onto my relic ID and unlocked the valor campaign by putting the serial keys in... I forget if it was the serial keys from the OF and COH or just the valor one....
