I really enjoyed Metro, it was a very atmospheric game. The game is linear but so are 90% of the FPS' that come out so I don't get the complaint about that.

The game reminded me of a combination of Stalker with some Half Life

Metro was the best game of the year last year for me. Fantastic production values, voice acting is fun and cheeky, combat is hard AND fun, and the setting deserves a movie.

I played about 20min of Metro but stopped cus other games came out. It looked really cool and it's a system killer.

Tempted by the Metro deal but a cut on the THQ pack would be better value...still holding out for that.

Maybe that'll be the end of the week deal. I got the THQ pack on their last sale and it's a great pack. Tons of good games.

Loved Metro 2033 when I played and beat it this summer. One or two moments I wasn't thrilled with and the enemy ai for human opponents is atrocious, but overall I had a ton of fun with this game. Great immersive world they created.

Plants and Zombies is on sale. I've been waiting for a while to get that. Some other decent deals there.

The good, picked up the THQ pack for 49 during christmas and the twenty something games that came with it (mainly for metro and the DW2 stuff and RF on the side).

The bad; nothing on sale yet that I don't have in steam.

Frontline Fuel of War is OK. Over the top action and it can be fun in short sessions. I play with a trainer cuz I really dont give a rats ass about the "challenge" in something so mindless.

Of the Halloween sale titles, I'm thinking of getting:

Plants vs. Zombies GOTY Edition

Ghost Master

Nation Red

Dracula Origin

Anyone with any ideas if any of the other Halloween sale games are any good? I already have Bioshock, Amnesia, RE5, L4D1/2, and TF2. The games I chose I looked for reviews of them and they seem good.

PvZ is great, I've played it quite a bit

Ghost Master I heard is actually pretty fun from a lot of people but haven't played it

Nation Red is a good game, the dev has done a lot of improvements to the game from feedback from its fans

Dracula Origin never heard of it

As for other games on there besides what you listed, Dead Space is a good game the controls aren't that great though being a console port, same with Ghostbusters.

Dracula Origin, IGN gave it an 8.0 and for that price it shouldn't be too bad.

I played through Ghost Master awhile ago and would say it's not worth playing. It's an interesting premise and fun at first, but the later levels get really tedious and the goals are very obscure. I eventually just used a walkthrough to finish the damn thing. I'd say IGN's rating is generous, but the review is spot on.

There are, however, the scenarios which require certain tasks be accomplished, rather than simply ridding the house of human inhabitants. This might have been intriguing, but most of the goals are either too obscure, or the steps to their solution too unreliable, making these levels a frustrating exercise in patience and stamina. With the game alternating between being far too easy and far too hard, it's difficult to find a balance (or happy medium -- har har) where haunting is actually fun.

Damnit, Steam...

Picked up AvP and Dark Fall:Lost Souls, just picked up Titan Quest earlier this week, and I'm still playing New Vegas.
