You mean the PlayStation TV? I own one (connected via Ethernet), and in my experience, it worked fine. Also, given the fact that I was able to easily play Resogun, a twin-stick shooter requiring quick reactions on my Vita while connected to my smartphone's cell service via Wi-Fi shows that it really isn't that bad.
Yea I returned mine two weeks after I bought it. Tried it wireless, tried it wired via Ethernet adapters and it was very laggy for me. Not sure why it behaved that way. The ps streaming app that lets you play your ps4 games on the PC works fine though wirelessly.

Shadows or Mordor - Should I use mouse/keyboard (what I'm most comfortable using) or Xbox controller? I used the Xbox controller and didn't mind it when playing the Batman Arkham games.

It's not a high precision game and feels better to me with a controller. Played it both that way on the PC and of course on the PS4. One of my favorite games over the last few years. Probably up there with Witcher 3 and Horizon ZD for me.

It has been a while, but I recall needing to turn off a feature called direct connect. It was a feature designed for the Vita, which allows the PS4 to use its WiFi connection to directly connect to the Vita and bypass any existing networks. Unfortunately, since the PlayStation TV is really just a Vita -screen -controls +Ethernet +controller support, it has very similar software, which includes that connection option.

I played it with kb/mouse; couldn't imagine playing it with controller - though take that with a grain of salt as I hate controllers - but kb was quite natural for this game (no funky odd key assignment or horrible dark soul interface); btw runs great on linux.
I started out playing it with my Xbox 360 controller (due to my success using it with the Batman: Arkham series), and it seemed OK at first, but it was a giant pain in the butt to get headshots, particularly when enemies were fleeing. I have since switched to keyboard/mouse, and it's soooooo much better for aiming with the bow, and after some readjusting from the controller to kb/m, I'm much happier with it otherwise as well. No complaints.

I'm amazed at how bad Steam is at showing information. For example, I have a game installed, and can't find any option to show the CD key, or when it was installed, and the only way I know to find date and price paid for game on steam is finding the e-mail.

Just wondering, why would you need this data to be readily available?

I'm pretty sure most of that is covered in the right click option in steam. I believe there is a history button in your steam profile that has this data too.[

In steam settings (top left drop down)

I'd like to know whether one key I have for a game is the key that was used on Steam. I don't see "view account details".

I thought for sure you could do that, but I looked all over and I can't find them either. Maybe they don't have that anymore.

Right - so even though I had a cd key for every game I think - it's how games not bought on Steam are added - they can't be viewed for some.

What's going on is, I got Armello in the humble bundle monthly. I saw that a few days ago. Looking at the page today, the key wasn't shown yet, so I clicked it and went to add it to Steam.

But Steam said it's already in your library.

Hm. So maybe I already added this key, and for some reason had a humble bundle page open which was old and not showing the key. That's probably it. Or maybe I'd somehow previously added the game and this is a duplicate key I could give to some one else. It'd be nice to know.

Right in the game page (in Steam client), for uninstalled games, you can see the date when you bought or added a game in Steam (for installed games it shows when you last played that game instead).

Or you can look here.

But it's installed; and that only shows games bought on Steam, not other sites, which this was.
