When does the REAL summer sale start? Or is that not known yet? I think I've heard the 12th mentioned a few times.

Well, if Skyrim isn't in the $25 or so range and the Witcher 2 isn't in the $15-19 range, I won't be buying anything. Skyrim on the PC has yet to make any price drops which is absolutely insane, especially as the console versions are at $39 MSRP without sales....

Skyrim's been on sale for $40 two or three times on Steam, and I think it's even been down to $30 on GMG and Newegg if I remember correctly.

But yeah, $25 or less would make sense.

Jesus you guys are like broken records. First off, you clearly dont understand basic economics. If a product sells for X dollars and people keep paying, there is absolutely no incentive to lower the price. In fact with everything else EXCEPT video games, the demand might even make the price go up for a short while.

2nd: There was a big sale almost immediately after it came out, and apparently 99 percent of the gaming community completely missed it. Then the price went up.

THATS WHAT A SALE IS PEOPLE! If the price dropped and stayed there that isnt a sale. Its just the permanent lower price. There is absolutely no requirement of any kind to drop a games price by 50 percent after 6 months. You guys are getting spoiled by the ridiculously low prices......

You know what? Fuck it. Its better if you stay ignorant. The less business sense the average american brat has, the better my chances to compete in the work force.

If business sense for the average American drops, there number of bankrupt and indebted people goes up, the economy suffers as a whole and therefore you have higher chances of being laid off, have to work more hours, or get a pay cut.
Either way you're fucked :p

Wrong. I got it for $30 on PC. There are other sites that sell games other than Steam.

that's odd. I bought it on Steam for $40 during the X-mas sale, only 1+ months after release.

I've since seen it on sale for $30 at least once.

:hmm:

maybe I live in crazy world.

Yeah, not surprised to see Arma II CO isn't on there. I'm pretty sure its been #1 or #2 in sales for a few weeks at least even though its old. The dayZ mod is all the sale they need to keep moving that title.

Said this a million times already, but: That's an incomplete list. It only shows indie packs and publisher packs. There will be a million other titles on sale too.

Don't bother, I explained it earlier and everyone ignored it. Just wait till tomorrow when I make the thread :p

Sounds to me like you're the one not getting basic economics.

All the other poster was saying is that if those games werent in his preferred price range, he wouldn't bother buying the game. Whether or not that is actually true is an entirely separate discussion.

Maybe the Steam Sale guys aren't targeting him as a consumer with this sale, because if he's not interested enough to get the game at a sale, it's doubtful he'll ever make that purchase.

Again, separate issue.

1500-1800 titles, depending on the day.

For Steam, Skyrim has been on sale thrice

It's tomorrow...make it already!

I think I look forward to the sale thread more than the sale itself.
