Picked up BG3. Was hoping for a deeper discount but heard the game is worth the money and I'm almost done with this run of Satisfactory so I'll have time soon.

I think I'll snag Robocop and then call it a sale.

First time in a long time I went through my wishlist and actually purged it of a bunch of games.

Like if I don't want to buy something at $3 I need to be honest with myself I really just want to buy it to collect not to play.

Publisher's seem to be attempting to train folks to accept higher prices, games that have no right being $15/20/25 after 5/10/15 years are still stuck at that price.

I know it's a fool's quest, but I ain't buying a 5 year old game for more than $10 with all DLCs, no way no how.

Yup, so far only games I've bought were the best price on Fanatical.

I might just grab Elden Ring and either Stalker 2 or Space Marine 2 for when I get my PC rebuilt.

Is it any fun playing it solo? From what I've seen even the main story is designed for co-op.
I don't think you miss out on anything by playing the campaign solo.
For multiplayer I just enjoy the gameplay loop, even playing with randos. PvP is fast though. You're this badass in armor but getting yourself killed is pretty easy 😂

This has been one of the worst Steam sales I've ever seen.

Publisher's are clearly exploiting the summer sale meme to try and squeeze some more money out of gamers.

Likely to see better one off or publisher sales going forward than the big 4 seasonal sales.

I picked up several Final Fantasy games (almost all again) to finally have them on the PC (well, the exception is for FFVIII (remake)). Had all the others on either the original systems or on Sony PS1/PS2, but figured I do most of my playing on the PC now, so I might as well get them there for cheap.

That actually reminds me, I was in the middle of both a "min level" and "max stat" run of FFVI on my SNES. If I recall, I am past the last RNG based areas (which was a pain in the ass to finally get the minimum number of encounters with the minimum number of enemies/exp). These two runs both start out the same, basically avoiding/running from every fight you can through the entire beginning of the game and also needing to backtrack to remove Gau from the party (by having him "learn" from a fight in the "Veldt") so that the average party character levels drops 1 level lower when obtain a few other characters for the first time (it ripple effects several characters levels if you don't do it). Once you get all the characters back again in the "world of ruin", you can branch off to make a "max stat" run since you now have all the characters at their lowest level and can have access to the espers with the highest stat boosts at level up (meaning you can maximize the most stats possible on the character).
