Okay, this is really making me mad....

When I installed steam after formatting, I had to redownload my HL2 and CS:S files.. WHAT?? I already had them on my D drive.

I have a single drive partitioned into 2 drives. C (OS)-10gb (5gb remaining), and D (Apps,Games,Files)-100gb (50gb remaining).

Well. When I had to redownload the HL2 and CS:S files, they were put on my C drive!!! Why? I don't know. They're already on my D drive. I don't need them! Well, I moved the ones on the C drive to the D drive and replaced the old files.

Well, Steam didn't see it, so now I'm back at the point to where I have to download the HL2 and CS:S files AGAIN. And when I tried, it puts them on the C drive, so I hit cancel. 4.7gb of files with 5gb remaining leaves about 400 megs left on my C drive. Not good for Windows!!

So, how can I get the files that are on my D drive to be recognized by Steam?

TIA,
-Spencer

I believe if you install Steam on the other drive, then it'll put HL2/CS:S on that drive.

Just find the steam folder on drive D and run steam from there. No need to install again. Create yourself a shortcut, and there you go.
