The PS3 demo seemed like it would be worth that much, even though people say the full game gets repetitive.

Is this the one that is a 18 GB download that supposedly wasn't that good? I don't really follow the Star Wars series a whole lot so maybe someone can school me.

It's probably one of the best, if not THE best, Star Wars games ever made. Awesome story.

I completely disagree with this statement. Any of the Tie Fighter/X-Wing games, KOTOR1/2 or any of the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games are way better than this one. Personally, I wouldn't waste my time DL'ing even if it was free.

I've heard so many rants on this game (PC version) it isn't even funny. From everything I've seen it's like they weren't even trying when they ported it.

I grabbed the PS3 version when it was on clearance at Target, and the game was a mixed bag. The story was actually a decent bridge between the Prequels and Original Trilogy, but I quickly got annoyed by a bad combination of sluggish controls and ledges of instadeath. To me it just kills the game for me when a supposedly badass Sith warrior falls to his death because you hit the attack button one too many times and you manage to send yourself flying off the ledge because you thrust too far forward with you lightsaber jab.

Even more annoying, the game designers had a bad habit of making the respawn point before boss battles just a moment before a too long unskippable cut scene, so after you died a cheap death during a boss battle, you kept having to rewatch the cut scene before you could get back into the action.

The game had a lot of potential, but ultimately a lot of sloppy bits did it in. If they put a little more care into the game it could have been as good as Arkham, but instead they just churned out a frustrating platformer.

while decent games, I still consider Tie Fighter the best imho.

Only us old fogies can truly appreciate tie fighter and vs...

If another one was made I would probably make up an out of town trip so I could hide in a hotel to play the game away from family lol

Not really but I would think about it.....

It would be pretty neat to see them update the classic titles.
Going to have to pick up KOTOR I.
I bought Force Unleashed a couple of months ago when it was on sale. I thought that the controls were a bit wierd, and I had thought that the game was unplayable. But, after I beat it I found myself going back into the game and playing it over and over again. Sure, the fact that you have to relive those cut scenes after you die quickly wear you down, but it's still a good game to pick up for $8.

as a pure game, for its time I might agree with you

however KOTOR is a great game and its story rivals that of any of the actual Star Wars movies, including ESB, so I'd give the overall edge to KOTOR.
