Steam Installation Question.

Good day to this amazing community.

Look at this case. I have a PC with 2 hard drives and each ones houses an OS, in one of them i have my Steam account installed. For space issues i want to have Steam in the other hard drive an OS also.

Now i heard you can use junctions to install games on the other hard drive but i also heard they might have performance penalties because there will be additional overhead when reading and writing files.

So i want to know if i can install the steam account in the other hard drive with the other OS, with a different path to dump the games? Im not expecting to have access to all the installed games for the account so i will have to booth a different OS depending of which game i want to play.

So is this possible?
