So I purchased "Race On", and I already had Race 07 and GTR Evolution.
I'm like, well... I want to play. Steam has other plans. Steam is so upset with my desire to play that not only does it not permit me to play it when I click on the game informing it of my intentions, it decides the only worthwhile response is to lock up my entire computer.
Oh joyful. So I restart.
And try again.
And restart. And try again.
Rinse and repeat about 5 times before I decide, alright fuck it, I'm going to go to the Steam forums to try and see if I can find anybody with a similar problem who received help.
I think Steam has infected my computer at this point, full of evil intentions. The website is crawling, literally. A few pages I was able to get to load up, but clicking on most thread links, or even trying to go to the next page? No. Steam, in it's infinite wisdom, does not see this as a permissible option. The correct reaction Steam chooses? That page cannot be found. Every page I really want, on the entire forum, cannot be found. Really?
Fuck you Steam. It's bad enough I'll continue giving you money for some games just to spite myself. Because I enjoy this torture apparently.
Seriously... all I want to do is play my damn racing game! argh.
In the meantime, I guess I'll settle for NFS: Shift. I'm okay with that. I really enjoy it.
I really just want to see how Race On's version of the muscle cars perform, especially on Laguna Seca. Quite fond of Laguna Seca in Shift with my Lotus, though sadly there are no Lotus's to be had in the Race series so I won't be able to make a direct comparison with that vehicle. Maybe I'll load up one of the muscle cars in Shift and then again in Race On...
... if Steam decides to play nice that is.
