Bought an OLED a few months back. Used it quite a lot in the first couple of months. Really useful for older backlog titles. Pretty much going to be my go to when traveling. Not sure how much I'll use it at home but we will see. Would have purchased one sooner but didn't think I would care much for it.

I use mine at home all the time. Use in house streaming so my main rig is running the game at high settings and the deck is just a remote display and controller. Works surprisingly well and allows me to play in bed.

Regarding the $320 sale price for the 256GB LCD model. I'm mildly interested in grabbing one but my gut is telling me to save the cash in this environment. On the other hand we may never see these prices again.

1. Are they clearing stock because a new version with a better APU is coming out soon?

2. What aftermarket dock do you recommend that is just as good or better (and cheaper) than Steam's dock?

3. Do they make anti-glare screen protectors for the LCD models? Do they help the glare? Any cons?

4. When emulating, is the 4 core / 8 thread cpu enough power for many PS3 equivalent games and consoles? I understand that not all games will work well.

5. I'm in the market for a mini-pc with a 680m or 780m apu equivalent for emulation and pc gaming. Would using the steam deck docked be better idea for the money? If docked will I get near 680m performance? I just payed $188 for a mini-pc with a 6800H (680M) and $90 for 32GB of RAM. I'm sending that mini-pc back since it has issues. I spent $290 for the mini-PC and RAM (I have usable storage already). The Steam Deck isn't much more money and it's ready to rock at $320 so the deal seems tempting.

I'm curious if there is going to be more downward pressure on used deck hardware.

It's niche enough for me that I don't really even want to pay $320 for, but if I can snag a lightly used one at some point for give or take $150 that would be easy "just try it out" money.
