I just saw it. I really enjoyed it.
It definitely did not deserve the bad reviews that it recieved.
As for the technicallities.. who cares???
Someone mentioned how the plane could refuel from that blimp thing. Well, if you inspected it closely enough, the plane was in hover mode.
A lot of the technologies discussed in the movie are actually in development today.
Acting was bad? ehh who cares? lol. I enjoyed my popcorn and eyecandy, and enjoyed the action for what its worth. The acting wasn't that bad, and the lead, josh lucas did a decent job. Heck, the directing was 100X better than any of the recent Star Wars movies lol.
I'm DEFINITELY getting the DVD for this movie. This movie will be a great great benchmark for any home theatre system. Just action after eyepopping fun action, it's definitly biult for benchmarking systems.
Sound effects were amazing, the fights were awesome.
All in all a fun movie, and I enjoyed it for what it's worth.
Do we suddenly have too many elitists in movie theatres these days? 🙁
When movies first came out, they served the purpose to make people escape from their current realities, and enjoy fun entertainment.
Just let yourself be entertained. If you feel that your brain is being insulted, then damn you're some arrogant bastard who thinks you're the smartest there is eh? Just. Chill. lol 😛
Elitists are too cynical, and always inhibit themselves to enjoy all the good stuff in life, like mindless action 😛. enjoy entertainment as it should be, don't think lol.
The best things in life are peace of mind, and living like a carefree kid 🙂. Of course i love knowledge and love to think, but to freely allow myself to act like a kid instead of being a cynical barfhead all the time makes me happier 🙂
