Steak 'N Shake Opening In NYC, Offering Free Meals For A Year To First 150 Customers

And the world thought it couldn't get enough of our Black Friday Walmart security videos.

This event will put all of that to shame. Or, rather...elevate it, somehow? :hmm:

their burgers are way to greasy.... but the milkshakes.. I would stand in line for a years worth of milkshakes.

Potbelly opened up across the street from where i work. i can see it driving subway and quiznos out of business, but it's not that good

The aren't "burgers", they are "steakburgers". Big difference.

What is the difference?

I live in TX and have a few around here. Tried them once and thought their burgers were nothing special. Actually kind small. And I hate their "thinning" crispy fries. Ends up being too greasy and you have to use a damn fork to eat them. Fries should not be eaten with a fork.

I'm guessing ground sirloin instead of chuck.

Shake shack is the only respectable burger I've found in the city, with the exception of Amsterdam Cafe and Pourhouse, both of which are bars/restaurants.

Hope Steak n Shake is decent.

That's a matter of opinion. There's a ton of non-chain restaurants other than the ones you've mentioned that make great burgers. Corner Bistro's the easiest one to list. Others that come to mind are Five Napkin, The Burger Joint, Lucky's Famous Burgers, Island Burger. I can name a bunch more but all those burgers are solid and i'm not even counting Five Guys (which is a very controversial topic).

Based on how people describe this burger, I don't think it'll set itself apart. man I want a bistro burger now 🙁
