Do you know that when a person has full blown AIDS, they'll often times have a concomitant herpes infection and depending on the severity of the AIDS the herpes will manifest itself like chickenpox?(meaning open sores all over the body) Sadly this is something I have seen one too many times.

Africa (ALL of it) is in danger of being wiped out almost entirely by AIDS, mostly due to the stupidity of its inhabitants. I don't say that lightly! There's all kinds of superstitions on how to get rid of it - most of them revolve around sex with a virgin (because, after all, that'll cure anything won't it?) So the girls get younger, and younger.... the common expression is, "By eight, it's too late." (she won't be a virgin after that age.) So you've got desperate men screwing everything that moves because they want to believe SOMETHING will cure it.
Back on the home front - condoms are not as effective as people hope they are. Rubber latex has naturally-occurring microscopic holes that allow a certain amount of breathability. Oh... and they're large enough for 5 HIV viruses to fit through side-by-side. Yeah, I know the risk is really small and far better than NO condom, but between that factor and the fact that condoms fail fairly regularly (I've had a few tear on me) that can be enough exposure to get something. And I did. (Lucky for me it was a curable one!) There's way too much "hooking up" going on these days, where people just screw away without any emotional attachment - then they wonder why they have such a hard time with committed relationships later....

The acronym "STI" was probably invented by the same group who changes the singular "woman" to "women". Grrr... activists who change language are evil.
Probably have a bunch of STD's themselves and don't like the word "disease" since it sounds so.... nasty! Well guess what? They are! If you ever get "the drip" and all bumpy with warts, and open sores from herpes - you'll know how nasty some can be!
