Stayed there in June Weekday for $119 per night for 3 nights so you are getting a good deal at $119 for a weekend night.
Complaints:
1) No newspaper in the morn
2) Pressure sensitive minibar
3) Wanted $35 to switch from 1 bed to 2 beds but then decided not to charge it
4) Garage parking poor and under construction
5) They had to search my truck before I entered the Garage ~ but only took one minute
6) Pools were one of the blandest I ever seen in Vegas.

Very nice rooms and well worth it for your cost. I ate at Emeril's but had to eat at the bar because they were booked up 24 hrs in advance. Have fun.

the minibar/fridge thing is annoying cause you cant put anything else in there.

i don't know why you didn't like the pool. i thought the pool area was awesome. it was really nicely done.

The only pool area I saw was on the 2nd or 3rd floor and in the brief look I took, it looked very ordinary. I think there was 3 large square pools, no waterfalls, slides, unusual shapes and limited flora/atmosphere. Maybe I'm wrong, but that is what I remember but I didn't actually swim or stay for more than 5 minutes.

no waterfalls or slides, not really that kind of place. the flora/atmosphere is what i thought was great. fountains. the landscaping. it was really nice. very relaxing place. i guess it depends on what you like. ive stayed at mandalay bay and they have the wave pool and tubes, but i ended up liking this setup better.

Oh, yeah, Grand Lux Cafe is a great place for casual dining. I don't think I had a bad meal there. They have a nice walk up service in the morning to grab a coffee/bagel/danish/cereal.

Wow, thats a nice price for it. Me and 7 friends stayed in one of the larger Venetian suites and it was incredibly nice. I think you 'll enjoy it. The casino is abit on the pricier side to match the clientele, but the shopping area is nice. Lots of street performers and the singing gondoliers are fun too.

AS Squisher mention, the Grand Lux Cafe is a great place to eat. The portions are huge pretty huge and the price isn't too high, you might want to check it out. My friends and I ate there after being up all night and it was great, we even got seated next to two guys taking what looked like strippers out on a date :).

Wow, if you get tickets for one of the Cirque du Soleil on such short notice let me know how and how much... They're so expensive and usually sold out by the time you get in town...

Venetian is awesom is to look at. but staying there ... in my experience, wasnt all that great.

i loved my time at Luxor, the best i've been treated!

Caesar's was good too ... Bellagio was mind-blowin except tht i cudn't stop thinking about my cc bill and pysched myself out from enjoying it :p

I gotta second (or third or fourth?) the unimpressed opinion of the pool. In an age of increasingly creative designs it was a real let down. Simple rectangle from what I recall. I'm not a gambler so my hotel decision weighs heavily on the pool and nightlife. Personal favorites are Hard Rock ($$$ and limited rooms) and Mandalay Bay.

I'm there Labor Day weekend......SWEET!!!

hmm... the only date that I see on the venetian website for $119/night is the 3rd, 4, and 5th. How do I get the 2nd?

priceline? try to bid $79 for venetian(the only 5 stars hotel from their list, not sure about now), you have 99% chance to get it.
