Was thinking of staying in College for an extra year to bring up MY GPA.

Would it be worth it to take some Misc. classes just to bump?

not really applying to med school.

Just to get into the computer science major.

Well, it would depend a lot on what your current GPA is and what the requirement is for your school's comp sci program (assuming you are staying with your current school).

Before anything else it would be worthwhile to calculate what the best case scenario would be. Let's say you had 120 credit hours (so enough to graduate) with a GPA of 2.5, an additional 32 credit hours all getting A's would get you a 2.8 GPA. Would that really be worth it?

Add on the additional costs of another year of college, and you'd almost certainly be much better off working on getting a job ASAP.

If you need an extra year to bring up your GPA than not really. How much would you be paying for this extra year.

Not at all worth it in any scenario unless you have very specific grad school plans.. even then your grad school plans are probably not worth it

Is this CS school at the community college you're at or some other university?

Doesn't make sense. More classes means more credits to your total already which makes each A do less and less as far as raising your GPA. You'd have to take 21 credits or some nonsense and get straight A's to see any benefit.

I don't know what I am going to do then.

My GPA is so worthlessly low. I don't even know if I can do C.S with that low of a GPA.

What should be my next course?

I don't even know what to do with my life.

At my local CC's, you're allowed to retake courses and override previous grades.

I should've done that before I transferred to a 4-year university. To note, the avg acceptance GPA for CS at my university is a 3.62, with a 30% acceptance rate.
