That nurse will hopefully end up as a permanent patient in an insane asylum, if the justice system works as it should.

I don't see how anyone could defend her actions. Her lawyer will tell her to take the guilty plea.

I've amputated a few toes without a vascular patients consent before.
I mean it wasn't on purpose but you have to watch out for those mummified toes when taking off boots sometimes!

Let's look on the bright side. Since he is now "foot lose" he should be much happier.

That's one thing that scares me - where I'm going to live when I'm too old to properly take care of myself. No wife/kids, and I'm not sure I'll be able to depend on my older brothers and their families.

Maybe we can start an ATOT nursing home?

It's cost an arm and a leg for decades. It was over $8000 a month 10 years ago. Nicer places were even more.

i wouldn't be surprised if it costs 500$k a year in real dollars when i get old

i'm trying to have a few mill saved up just for that

Keep moving. Especially brisk walking. Take preventive measures for sarcopenia. Increase intake of veggies (especially onions). Keep your brain active with puzzle solving. The key to graceful aging is increased forced mobility.

Oddest thing I've seen anyone save for. Most people try to spend it down before then. Once you account is empty, medicare/medicaid pay it. They do take your SS check, but they let you keep $40 a month! It may have gone up, haven't dealt with it for years now (Mom).

Yep, staying healthy into old age is one of my goals, so I exercise regularly and eat well. I run 2-3x a week, rowing if I don't run, and I lift weights a few times a week. Diet is almost all fresh food, and lots of vegetables and fruit.

Commit the name of this facility to memory (or the address, in case they cunningly change the name to avoid future bad publicity).

AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Just sayin
