Wolf spiders were very common for a large portion of it.

There are three different creatures called "daddy long-legs" or "Grandaddy long-legs," only one of which is a spider. Though they have shorter legs than the ones I am familiar with, these are clearly Harvestmen AKA "Daddy Long-Legs," which are not spiders. One of the others is some flying insect similar to a Mayfly. The one that actually is a spider is just a common House Spider, which looks nothing like a Harvestman. Insects have three major body parts, spiders have two, and Harvestmen have one. They are all arachnids.

As a kid I contradicted many people who'd spout that ignorant "most poisonous spider in the world but the mouth it too small to bite!" nonsense by telling them that it wasn't even a spider. One wanted to fight me because I was basically calling his dad a liar!
