I use both IE on my speedy desktop pc and FF on my laptop with limited memory. I had some problems with FF until I fresh format annd install FF it is stable now. Less crash than before. I don't use extensions.

T2urtle was right about spyware issue on both FF and IE, I get one spyware with FF and I get 30 or less using IE.
I use Google's pop up blocker with IE so I don't get much popup ad.

Use both.

Yep.

Install FireFox and set it as your default broswer. Then when IE7 coems out, just upgrade the IE that is already built into the OS. You can use IE but since FireFox is default, it will prevent malware from trying to use exploits that would have worked with IE.

Only use IE when you absoulty have to. That is for Windows Update, or the few sites that are unuseable in anything but IE (some sites might not render correctly in Firefox or Opera but are still perfectly useable, only a rare few are unuseable)

For Firefox there is a simple plugin called "View in IE" which makes it trivial to view any page in IE when nesecery. For any other browser, copy and paste the address.

Please, do the world a favor and do not use IE.
