Considering I live with my gf and have to "take care of myself much of the time" I figure I am at least worth 6 figures. After all, I'm quite good at it and high priced hookers can be expensive.

Are you saying you're a high priced hooker?

How the heck did Oprah, Sally Jessie whatshername, Geraldo, etc. become popular if stay-at-home wives are so busy all the time??

:p

Sure, she may be worth $200 an hour here and there, but she's gonna get fired as soon as she wants me to pay $200 an hour watching Rosie.

Believe it or not, they do this study every year IIRC.

If I took all the phones away from the house, my wife might actually get something done around here.

As it is, she's great about washing clothes. Not so much putting them away. About halfway keeps the kitchen straight. Occasionally
vacuums, but never the stairs...I do them. (which is the hardest vacuuming job here)

But to say the work she does here is worth 138k in the real work world? Hardly. She doesn't even do 38k's worth, even counting taking care of our kids.

Seriously though, she's a great wife, a great person, but a sorry maid.

Computer repairman, babysitter, plumber, lawn care specialist, cabbie, landscaper, electrician, painter, car mechanic, furniture mover, audio/video installer, Cat5 and fiber optic network technician (yes I have fiber as the backbone for my home network), child psychologist, trash man, laundry attendant, dishwasher, financial planner (I handle our investments), carpenter, general fix-it man, medical tech, teacher, and last but not least...male "escort"!

All I know is that they had better have a "supplementary income" worth for working dads when Father's Day rolls around.

Damn right. Not only do I bring 100% of the money in, I also keep up the yard, fix anything that needs fixing, keep up the cars, take care of any major household purchases, plan vacations, do most of the cooking, wash dishes, mop floors, vacuum, take care of my kids more than 99.9% of other dads, and don't forget that I have to act like I'm interested in all the gossip my wife feels the need to inform me of. (hey, she's on the phone 3 hours a day)
