In the article, it makes the claim several times that because men get in more accidents then women, they MUST be worse drivers. Then you look at the number. Now, if men and women drove equal amounts, then yes I would agree with the previous statement. However, it becomes pretty clear pretty quick that men also, surprise, drive MORE then women.
Reading through the article, there are some signs that men are more likely to wreck then women (especially at younger ages), but definitely not to the proportions this article suggests initially. The very first table is screwed by the fact that at all ages the ratio of male:female drivers on the road is about 2:1.
I love it, you can pretty much never trust any statistic you are given because they almost always scew the facts in whatever way they want it to favor there argument.
