I believe we can all agree that if there is one true religion then the others must be wrong
(generally speaking) according to each groups Doctrines.

Chances are statistically speaking that your religion is the wrong one Major world religions The statistics are notable

Christianity is at 33 percent and that is further broken down to individual Christian based groups which looks to be roughly 28, according to this link
Christian groups Now I can't do statistics but I can formulate a rough hypothesis on the matter and I would appreciate some of the more able statisticians to clarify things.

You have a one in 22 chance of picking one of the right Religious groups.

and if you're Christian there're are approximately 20 plus branches of this group.

Of course on top of all that you have to worthy which lowers your odds even more.

I make this hypothesis; your chances of getting into heaven are about 1 in 10,000

See you in Hell!

Could we get some real statistical formulas in here based on the above premise?

Thanks

Then, there's Limbo. Seeing how so many christian groups believe that the soul is transferred to a mortal body as soon as a sperm and egg form a zygote, there are at least a hundred billion people in Limbo alone, most of which have 2000 cells or less.

Dont forget, what awaits each person in heaven is eternal bliss, divine rest... and $10,000 dollars cash.

AFAIK, Christianity is the only major religion with a permanent hell for everyone who doesn't accept the religion. So if you're a Christian, you've got a pretty good shot incase one of the other religions is right.

If Islam is right, you'll spend a couple of days in hell. Not too bad.

This is from a Discovery Channel show on hell.

You have something against P&N that you keep posting these threads? Did they upset you over there, or call you bad names or something?

I didn't agree with your opening statement, and therefore dismissed the ensuing bullshit, verbatim.

I've posted two threads and they're related, I really don't think I've surpassed my quota.
technically these have been religious based threads, so there're not political or news.
this is off topic where I spend the majority of my time. And if you don't like the topic you don't have to click on it.

Since when were there gods.....
and how could they speak so many languages?! and take so many forms.
How could people see the afterworld when they're not dead.
IMO, religions were created to explain the unexplained, without an educated theory.

WE NEED, THE GHOSTBUSTERS! *plays the theme*

Better than the atheists' chances. :p

ZV

well it depends. if there is a god he might not appreciate slavish selfish mindless worship and instead judge people on the content of their characters. he may not appreciate man neglecting the gift of reason in favor of superstition. that or he might be a total dick like the religion so say he is lol:)
