Static question

My computer room is carpeted, but I have my pc tower on an anti-static mat and I have the little cable clipped to the case chassis. Should that be okay or is there some danger of static there still? Thanks for any help.

as long as you ground yourself before touching the inside of the case, you won't have any problems. The PSU is grounded, so the system should be too.
