static noise durring hdrive activity

I have an IBM harddrive 7200rpm, ECS k7vza motherboard, SBLive Plat sound card, Logitech soundman X1 speakers, Athlon 1.2ghz cpu, 512meg of ram, and a geforce2 mx 32meg video card. I also have one cdrom reader/burner and a dvd-rom drive.

When I use the onboard sound I do not have this problem, but when I disable the onboard sound and then install the sblive card I sometimes hear static in my speakers while they are in use when there is hdrive access. I've tried the sblive in other pci slots without success. I've replaced the sblive card with a new one and still no success.

Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.
