Static electricity - oops

This won't happen again, as I moved the location of my desktop. I accidentally touched my desktop and discharged a small amount of static electricity. It immediately turned off. I reboot it ( it asked if I wanted to start it up normally, which I did) and everything seems fine.

What are the odds there isn't some issue that will pop up in a few weeks or months? Is there anyway to check now?

Doubt there's going to be anything that happens. I'd be willing to bet any of the static electricity that arched from your finger to the desktop was absorbed by the powersupply (since it IS grounded to the case). Personally, I would worry...

The chance of something becoming "weakened" by your experience is pretty much 0%. Something would have either stopped working when it happened or everything is fine.

As long as the humidity remains low during the heating season, it can easily occur again, unless you develop OCD and constantly touch grounded surfaces.

Other than it turning itself off, nothing else seems to have happened.
