ND native here 🙂 Go Bismarck...

We all leave after we earn our degrees. Something about the freaking -50 F temps.

The year I left we set a record of 20 consecutive days below zero, never got above 0, I remember getting in my POS Ford Pinto after work that winter & the goddamn vinyl seat shattered when I sat on it. Just remembering that makes my balls suck up around my ears to keep them warm. 🙁

I think it's mostly that folks from the western states (Dakotas, Wyoming, Montana) have the good sense to never travel east of the Mississippi. Either that or their too busy tending their secret government 'Blonde' farms.

don't associate north (or even south) dakota with either montana or wyoming. Both take bum****ery to a whole new level. Most north dakotans that i know who have left have had the good sense to either go to California or east of the mississippi.

I'm from north dakota technically, although i'm from fargo and most of us have the good sense to associate ourselves with minnesota, since its embarrassing being associating with people more than 10 west miles from the red river. There are several other higher-post-count north dakotans around here, and a few from my high school in fact.

bismarck blows. only minot is dirtier.

I've met many people from there and never liked a single one, and in high school your athletes were the biggest jerkoffs ever. Only bismarck could turn every soccer game they went to into a giant melee.

edited for piss typing.

I never have and cannot say with certainty I've even seen one of their plates. I can say with certainty I see more plates from Alaska than some states like ND

alaskans get everywhere somehow.

Hmmm, I lived in western Wyoming for a couple of years...or at least I THOUGHT I did...the coldest fucking winters I've ever experienced...and the best dammed trout fishing I've ever lied about too! (my kids still laugh about setting off fireworks on 4th of July in 6" of fresh-fallen snow) BUT, based on this thread, maybe I didn't actually live there...hmmm...could it all have been a Republican conspiracy? After all, Dick Cheney is from Wyoming... <shifty-eyes>

I lived in Idaho for 15 years of my life.. Most people are so geologically challenged they think that Idaho is next to Ohio.

Never met anyone from:
Wyoming - I don't even know anyone who's actually been there..
N/S Dakota

Back in high school I had a crash on this chick from Iowa, and that was the first time I ever ran into a person from there. Man she was H O T, makes me wanna go to Iowa now.

Edit: I just googled it, it turns out that a large percentage of the population of Iowa is Danish and Swedish origin... man... *droll*
*pant*

Oh, I'm married... Ayiiii yaii yaii

North Dakota? Only steers and queers come from North Dakota, Private Cowboy. And you don't look much like a steer to me so that kinda narrows it down.

Bismarck was the most depressing place I've ever visited. It was the middle of December, and EVERYTHING was gray from road salt. It's the second largest city in the state but there was nothing there, other than a small mall in the middle of town with a few restaurants around it. I generally love smallish cities like that, but I would never live in that particular town.

I used to work with a girl from North Dakota. She wanted to know why it was foggy and 60° down here in December. She was good looking though, so I let her complaints slide. 😛
