IIRC, the story on who shot first is a matter of one's word against the other at this point. Vang's story sounds fishy to me about in the details of how he was allegedly shot at.

Whatever happened, he was in no way justified in chasing down unarmed people and shooting them. Vang even admitted to reloading in between the shootings.

That is not self defense any strech of the imagination.

This story hits home with me because I have hunted in those woods before. When I was younger you would have never heard of things like happening.

There are thousands of acres of public land on which he could hunt in that area. There was no reason for him to be on private land.

If you were just involved in a gun fight, are YOU going to take the time and figure out if they are carrying guns???? That is the most absurd thing I have ever heard. And to boot, they were hunting! Um, PLEASE show me a hunter who goes hunting without a gun. (that was a sarcastic response. yes I know people use bow and arrows, but you get the point)

Hindsight is always 20/20, folks. If you were alone and were being shot at by a group of people, you're not going to throw a peace sign and figure out whos shooting at you.

I sure as hell am not going to go hunt down people, I'll tell you that much. Especially if more people had just showed up, I woulda gotten the hell outta there as fast as I could.
