woo hoooooooo nukular enargy

Except for Iran.

Russia offered Iran a deal where they could use the nuclear power and then give Russia the rods so they could not be used for anything else and Iran said no. Shows their true intentions.

Their true intentions are not to rely on foreign nations for anything. Does the UK or France rely on Russian fuel? Nope. That way, if any relations between nations fail in the future, Russia doesn't have that nation's energy in a vice.

Wow, that was a short speech on New Orleans (not to mention the lack of FEMA).

"chocolate" boy caused all of that and you know it.

How can you say that? Yeah, Nagin is a moron, but he was only loud to get attention for himself (his constituency are mainly black... which was also NO). But the diastorous recovery after the hurricane was all FEMA and Brown.

I'm neither. I hate the party system and think it's the worst thing that happened in USA history. As such, I'm registered Independent.

Whether you like or hate Bush I think we can all agree that he offered nothing new tonight.

It was a good today for Republicans today. The Alito victory and a great state of the union by Bush. I even thought Hillary acted ok, not her usual jumpy self.

The best part was when he said we need to cut on our dependency on Arab oil. I don't know how realistic this is, but I'm all for it. No more money to Arabs. No more oil money to Arabs.

Lets even deal with Chavez before we deal with the Middle East.

hahahha

He isn't even trying to hide his hypocrisy.

My wife, who is an incredible source when it comes to reading between the lines when people are speaking, clued me into this being a thinly veiled threat.

She equated it to how we deal with our two year old......

"Kyle, would you like to go hop into your race car bed"

OR

"Do you need to be punished for disobeying and not getting into your race car bed?"

He is freaking tell them that your future is your choice, get rid of your nuke aspirations or face our wrath.

I am at a loss to see what was "great" about this address. It was a 40th-percentile effort at best.

ABC analysts said that something like 48 of the 63 paragraphs could've been said verbatim by President Clinton during his State of the Unions. Interesting.

And to that end to really sum up politics...

"It's the same as marketing, people want a consitent 'product'."

What needed to be said was said. He can't say more than that. He was on message and delivered it in a timely fashion. It isn't about agreeing or disagreeing with him, I disagree a lot more than I agree with him, its about realizing that he is the President of this country.

Maybe great isn't the right word, but it was a very optimistic speech. This is what the Republicans sorely needed and that is what they got. In that sense, it was great.

Me too ... for a time. Then I realized how destructive and unprincipled greed is, and I moved back towards the center. He who dies with the most toys is just as dead, and it's a terrible reason to lead an empty life.
