Don't know. Maybe I'm just completely burnt out on name recognition and career political families. Give me someone fresh, raw and intelligent.

I was actually put off by that as well and thought to myself, "too bad he is a Kennedy".

The shiny spot at the corner of his lips is driving me crazy.
I thought the staging was bad. The Vaseline around the lips and the gratuitous applauding audience. The speech though was great.

So who is counting the I's and Me's during the speech? It was such a concern when Obama was president I assume those who kept bringing it up will be all over this.... no? Wait... they weren't being genuine in their arguments? Say it ain't so...

"President Trump used the word “I” 29 times in his speech, while using “we” 129 times. Another communal word used often by the president: “our,” which he used 104 times."

Umm, the majority of the people who would actually tune in to watch this fuckin guy are the same people who drooled over his campaign speeches and his self-fellating for the last fucking year.

OBVIOUSLY the poll of people who bothered to watch Donalds the State of the Union would be mostly favorable.

We have to be reminded.
This is a failed reality TV game show host we have preaching to us from up there.
A maniac of major proportions.
And the big question to ask is..... how can once decent normal American republicans applaud this abomination standing up there?
This abomination of an president that made his wealth through illegal dealings with Americans most aggressive communist enemy, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin?
A communist country, enemy to America in every way, the Soviet Union?
A communist country that once installed then aimed nuclear missiles at our very homeland from only miles away?
THIS IS DONALD TRUMP.
To even consider how this abomination of a man can share the term "President Of The United States" with such greats as Lincoln, Kennedy, Roosevelt and Washington is in itself our American abomination.
This is republican mass insanity at the most highest level.
They trade away their very soul for control of the US Supreme Court, for tax windfalls for their wealthy friends, and for dismantling the very foundation of America including dismantling our constitution.

Back in Berlin Germany, a wall was built many years ago.
A wall for only one purpose, to divide people against people.
A wall so offensive to freedom that it took a future American present to demand that wall be torn down.
So here we are today in 2018, and only because of this abomination of a president, America is now convinced to build walls.
Walls only to divide.
And that is exactly what this wall does despite its location, to divide Americans.
This wall might as well run right through the very heart of America coast to coast.
Will some future foreign leader demand America tear down her wall?
Will 50% of America regain their sanity? Can they? Is this even possible?
Or.... will greed and insanity continue to rule the day.
This is your America people. YOU have to decide.

I think it was a good speech, he held firm in some places, seemed to be reaching across the aisle in others, and started out the speech with some wins. I think he did better than some here would like to admit.

Trump as a prearranged package is "fine". As in seemingly Presidential. Then we see the real Trump on twitter and...

I didn't watch SOTU this year. Disgusting enough what America has been reduced to, I don't need another reminder.

Not to mention his real thoughts have been available multiple times every day for the last two years, so we dont really need a bogus feel-good speech to inform us of anything factual.

People already made up their mind on Trump. Not much he can say to change it now. He is at sub 40% approval with this stock market and unemployment for a reason.

Y'all got the greatest president ever!!!!!!!!! He's so dreamy and smart and healthy, handsome and powerful. Hail Trump!
Huh? The POTUS is a POS. I refuse to watch him or listen to him. I did not, will not watch or listen to the SOT dis-union speech. I avoid liars when possible, always.
If he'd written it himself could you imagine the gibberish that would've come out?
My thought exactly. His speech would be written by political pimps, hacks, shills, pens for hire. Just rubbish. And if it were written by him, it would also be rubbish, just a different kind of rubbish, rube-ish rubbish.
