When you're the terminally ill person, you too may want to try a drug that hasn't been through a years long FDA approval process yet.

When you are terminally ill you may just want to cash out and call it good. But our modem state GOP says you are going to hell and are an awful person for not persisting through your misery.

As for trumps speech...I thought it was ok. The worst part was the fear mongering with the immigrants. Other than that, it was as expected and not a complete disaster.

Anyone watching Joe Kennedy III, damn!

Usually these rebuttle speeches are garbage but this guy is on it.

I thought he was terrible personally. For the pokes at Trump for having a paced speech pattern, he was exactly the same .

So his speech pattern put you off and that was it or was there something more substantive that put you off?

It was a forced and disingenuous feeling delivery . Much like Trump. I'm just being honest and saying you can't hold one accountable for it without holding another at the same level .

Hmm...I didn't get the same vibe. In fact I went into it thinking that that was how the response was going to play out but it never materialized like that. His speech was actually reminiscent of Obama and Reagan, a hopeful future of togetherness. It was a speech of idealism for sure but in this current political climate where a majority of the people are, politically, turned off, I thought it was a breath of fresh air.

Don't know. Maybe I'm just completely burnt out on name recognition and career political families. Give me someone fresh, raw and intelligent.

I think it was a good speech, he held firm in some places, seemed to be reaching across the aisle in others, and started out the speech with some wins. I think he did better than some here would like to admit.

Sounds like he managed to read a teleprompter for a really long time without his dentures falling out. Kudos to the writer and choice to upgrade from Fixodent to Super Poly Grip.

Too bad we've all read his tweets and know that's not at all how he really speaks and thinks.

Basically, it was like every other rebuttal speech. Doesn't matter which party is giving the rebuttal, it's just hard to do without coming off like a sore loser.

Yeah. Maybe that's my problem with Bernie. His whole schtick felt the same way .

Wasn't bad, but seemed to be trying too hard. Had to hit all the boxes. Transgender, lgbwhatever, even a stint in beloved patriot Spanish.

Middle America is too racist for that stuff and tunes out before you get to the jobs and prosperity part. Which was what? What was the plan, other than saying shit wasn't fair?

STFU, wipe your mouth and get to the money part.
