I predict the President will make unsubstantiated claims of success and progress, met with rigorous applause by his own party while the other party sits and mopes.

Since Republicans set the precedent, I am hopeful that there will be some heckling.

I also predict a Presidential hopeful member of the opposing party will make a statement afterwards.

I also predict it will keep the talking heads and pundits busy for one whole news cycle.

What is a news cycle nowadays? 60 minutes?

I predict white noise, some sound and fury signifying nothing and accomplishing nothing.

TBH, I won't be watching this wholly fake history revising autobiographical story telling session nor will I be reading about it simply because I consider it to be a complete waste of my time.

Much more informational and entertaining to watch the comedy talk show hosts and SNL dig into it. And yes, this also includes the various comedic sycophant ass sucking Repubs up on the Hill that's going to be defending Trump's speech.

If he's reasonably coherent, and stays partially on message I predict the press will deem him as presidential again, only to be proven wrong by another "shithole" moment. Fuck drumpf.

I saw that last night, and I hope I don't forget to tune in. I watch maybe 1 late night show/3 years these days.
Did you see her interview with Inside Edition yesterday? All she did was smile when asked the questions. I mean they aren't going to sue her. No way they want to submit to that disclosure.

In my opinion, nothing strange about it. Since the employee wasn't fired or reassigned, almost as if management condoned the actions. Plus, people got some mileage out of blaming Trump for this.

Man this deep state is really going after your cheeto-in-chief from every angle. Poor Trump supporters - they can't get any break!

My real prediction will be that this speech will be similar to his inaugural address, on message but creepy for a US president. We shall see some of his best teleprompter reading, bigly.

Yeah. When he goes off prompter he just starts rambling with lots of unfinished sentences and random words, when he stays on prompter he sounds like he can read the English words but doesn't know what they mean in a sentence.
. . . And there's that much-labored inhalation that he does between phrases, like sneering. Somehow, I think the man has a mild reading disability. With the sneering sound, he comes off like a shitass snot-nosed pig, who wants to piss on everyone.

I always thought it was the sniffles from his coke habit.

I always thought it was the sniffles from his coke habit.

That was Howard Dean's perception of it, and he literally and specifically mentioned it that way. But if that were so, he would exhibit the sneer-breathing when speaking impromptu.

So it indicates the attention he pays to a teleprompter, and a sort of rhythmic, discomforted accommodation he makes to reading and speaking at the same time.

Trump is going to throw the Republican party under the bus and become the closet Democrat he has always been and has been working so hard to hide. He will be able to do so now that he has made it obvious to the entire world that Republicans are complete and total idiots unable to govern. He is going to become immigrant friendly, anti-wall, an environmentalist and champion of the poor. He will likely nationalize the banks and demand to appoint 11 judges to the supreme court, one of them being Laurence Tribe. He will become our greatest President, the one who became enlightened in office.

You must not be very familiar with full-time employment. You eff up at your job where you send the population into a mass panic and don't get fired. That sounds like management didn't see the problem with that guy's job performance. And didn't people blame Trump for the fake missile alert?

Thread title needs editing, official ticket calls it State of the Uniom. Trump’s administration can’t even get tickets printed right.

You got that right. Even the spellcheckers are incompetent at the WH these days.:p You do have to wonder why the printer didn't ring them up and notify of error unless they just blindly followed their instructions like a faithful Trumpette.:D

Most people blamed him for creating an environment where it was believable.

You have to feel a little sorry for them. The second someone finally sticks up for rich, white, "Christian" males the failing fake news-slinging press tries to tear them down. Sad!

Will the State of the Union have higher ratings than the Grammy's?

Wouldn't be that surprising, as it has quite frequently in the past. I wonder if Trump is petty enough that he's still angry about Obama's first speech ratings being so much higher than his. My guess is yes.

I hadn't looked at the ratings for both, just wondering aloud. Good to know that people actually watch what our president has to say more than they watch Hollywood fellate itself and tell us how we should feel about political issues.

It’s weird that anyone would think that art should be separate from politics. I mean has that ever been true in all of human history?
